We are very pleased to announce the addition of Dr. Elizabeth Shivone to the Modern Mobile Medicine family. Until early September, Dr. Shivone lived in San Antonio with her husband and their four children, where she served as President of the Catholic Physicians Guild and served on the Medical Advisory Board for Catholic Charities. She received her MD at UT Health Science Center in San Antonio and attended residency at the Christus Santa Rosa Family Medicine Program. After residency, she worked for Christus Physician Group for three years doing outpatient medicine before joining Health By Design, where she was recruited to be one of the founding doctors for Valero Headquarter's Family Wellness Center. She moved with her family to the Washington, D.C. area so her husband could pursue his PhD. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, swimming, gardening, reading, going to museums, and spending time with her husband and children.

If your medical need is non-urgent, (like a physical or routine follow up), please delay those appointments until at least October. We have had many calls from prospective patients who want our direct primary care, but they do not want house calls, or they may live outside of our service area. To help meet the needs of these families, we now offer memberships for traditional office-based primary care. We call it Pure Primary Care.
Appointments are available with Dr. Haden on Mon, Weds, Fri in Del Ray, Alexandria, and on Tues and Thurs in Fairfax, inside the Tepeyac Ob/Gyn offices (Fair Oaks medical building).
Just like MMMed, Pure patients will benefit from the added convenience of unlimited daytime telemedicine visits. Office visits are also unlimited for Pure members, and they get the same discounted labs with Quest or Sunrise as MMMed patients.

Duane and Haden by telemedicine for urgent medical matters only by the usual means.Please submit routine requests such as medication refills before this time. Routine consultations and new patient visits can be scheduled starting Tuesday the 25th by the normal means on the the website.If you need to be seen in person by a doctor during these few days, you will be directed to an appropriate level of care for your need--an urgent care center for minor matters or the Emergency Department of your local hospital for serious matters. You also have the option of paying for a one-time house call by a fellow house call doctor who is not in our practice.Non-urgent messages and emails will be reviewed when we reopen on Tuesday July 25th. Please allow us 48 hours to catch up on messages after we reopen.
